Ocean Colors Varigated Thread Bangle

I finally got the supplies to make a new thread patterned bangle.  I used Aunt Lydia's Crochet Cotton Size 10 in Ocean as the thread and Toho transparent crystal size 8/0 seed beads.  I like the pattern this created with the multi-colors.  Available on my Etsy site.

Variegated Thread Bangle

Next time I need to choose a different set of variegated perle cotton thread so there isn't so much white, but I love the look of the changing colors underneath the clear size 8/o Toho seed beads.  The beads give the bangle a texture and weight and shape that the thread itself doesn't have.  Available at my Etsy site.

Chunky Bangle

I just made my first bangle with size 6 seed beads.  What a change from the size 11 and 8 beads!  I have a habit of making my stitches very tight, but that backfired badly.  I had to rip out the entire piece and re-crocheted it much looser for a more flexible tube.  This is a hefty bangle, weighing almost an ounce and measuring 1/2 inch wide!  Available for sale at my Etsy site.

Spring Scarves

With the weather getting warmer in New England, but still a little brisk at night or the often breezy day, I decided to make a few scarves that are still thick but have a more lacy and look, are more breathable.  All scarves are for sale on my Etsy site.

Bead Crochet Bangles

I've been obsessed with making crochet bangles recently, some solid colors and some with patterns.  Here's a look at a few I've made recently.  I love the weight and chunky-ness of the size 8/o seed beads that I've been using, also easier on the eyes with the stringing and crocheting!  The size 11/o seed beads are much smaller to work with, but their small size make these bangles look so delicate.  These are so fun to make and I love watching the patterns grow.  They are all very, very flexible and sturdy.  Available for purchase at my Etsy store, http://stringsbydesign.etsy.com.
